Editorial policy

Every page on Live Casino Kenya is drafted with AI tools under the site's editorial policy and checked automatically against the Gambling Control Act, the 2026 Regulations and the game providers' own pages before it is published. This page sets out what that sentence means in practice: which sources count, what is never published, how a page is prepared and checked, and who reviews it.

Sources that count

A statement on this site must trace back to one of the following, and the page names it:

  • The Gambling Control Act, 2025 (No. 14 of 2025), in the Government Printer edition hosted by the regulator and the Kenya Law edition, with the section number next to each statement.
  • The 2026 Regulations under the Act as gazetted on 30 June 2026: the Licensing Regulations (L.N. 111), the Conduct of Gambling Operations Regulations (L.N. 112), the Foreign-Based Operators Regulations (L.N. 113), the Advertising Regulations (L.N. 114) and the Gambling Appeals Tribunal Regulations (L.N. 115), each cited by regulation number.
  • Pages published by the Gambling Regulatory Authority on gra.go.ke, including its list of licensed gaming companies, its complaints page and its self-exclusion page, quoted with the date they were read.
  • The Data Protection Act, 2019 and the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner for anything about personal data.
  • The game providers' own published pages (for example Evolution's and Pragmatic Play's game and licence pages) for how a game is run, what it pays and what the provider says about its studios and licences. A provider's marketing claim about an operator is not a source.
  • Arithmetic shown on the page itself, labelled as derived, with the inputs stated.

Secondary sources are not used for facts: no encyclopaedias, forums, news aggregators, affiliate or review sites, and no operator's own promotional pages. If a number cannot be found in a primary source, the rule is written without the number.

What is never published

  • Rankings, ratings, scores or lists of best or recommended casinos.
  • Bonus amounts, promo codes, welcome offers or any inducement to deposit or play; the Advertising Regulations bar calls to action and inducements (L.N. 114 r.9), and this site is not an advert.
  • Hyperlinks to operators. Operator names and domains appear only as plain text, as the regulator lists them.
  • Testimonials, winner stories or invented first-hand experience. No page says what the site's team played, deposited, won or lost, because it did none of those things.
  • Any wording that presents gambling as income, as a solution to money problems or as a certain result.
  • Content aimed at or appealing to persons under eighteen.

How a page is prepared

A page starts from a question people ask about live dealer games, phrased the way they ask it. A draft is written with AI tools with the primary sources open: the section of the Act, the regulation, the provider's game page. Each legal statement is written with its section; each figure is either quoted with its source and date or derived on the page with the working shown. Arithmetic worked through in shillings is labelled an illustrative example.

How a page is checked

Before publication every page passes a set of automated checks, and a page with any defect is not published. The checks confirm that:

  • every source cited is on the list above and none is on the blocked list;
  • the 18+ notice and a link to the responsible gambling page are present;
  • no promotional wording, no call to action and no promissory language appears;
  • no hyperlink points at an operator;
  • no passage duplicates text published elsewhere, on this site or on any other;
  • every internal link resolves and every image has a text alternative;
  • the title, description and length are within the limits set for the page type.

Publication happens only at zero defects. A page that fails goes back to drafting.

Review

The byline on every guide reads "prepared with AI tools under our editorial policy" and links here. At present there is no named human reviewer. The publisher's legal name and the identity of a reviewer have not been published, and the site does not pretend otherwise. When a reviewer is appointed, this section will name them, state their role and say which pages they have reviewed, and the byline will change accordingly. Until then the automated checks described above are the review, and their limits are acknowledged: they catch missing sections, banned wording and broken references; they do not judge whether an explanation is wise.

Dates

Every page shows the date it was last updated. Legal facts carry the date the source was read. A page about the law is re-read against its sources when a Legal Notice or an amendment is gazetted, and any change is logged on the corrections page.

Independence

No operator, provider, affiliate network or advertiser pays this site, has seen a page before publication or can ask for a change. The money page describes the position in full. Should it ever change, this policy changes first and the change is dated here.

Mistakes

Mistakes are corrected, not quietly rewritten. The corrected page shows a new date and the corrections log records what was wrong and what replaced it. Readers who spot an error are asked to send the sentence and, where possible, the primary source.

Readers under eighteen

This site is for adults. The Act requires proof of age of majority before a player is registered (Gambling Control Act, 2025, s.72(3)), and the Conduct of Gambling Operations Regulations treat persons under eighteen as minors who must be kept out of gambling and gambling promotion (L.N. 112 r.92(1)(c)). The pages do not use imagery, language or formats designed to appeal to children, and the 18+ notice appears in the header, in the footer and on every guide.
