RTP of live casino games: the figures providers publish

Few live casino providers publish RTP on their game pages. Evolution lists 96.08% for Crazy Time, and Pragmatic Play lists 97.50% for Mega Roulette 3000 and up to 99.51% for Privé Lounge Blackjack. Subtract any RTP from 100% to get the house edge: a single-zero roulette wheel returns 97.30% and keeps 2.70%.

Return to player (RTP) is the percentage of all money staked on a game that the game pays back over a very long run of rounds. Few live casino providers print it on their public game pages. On 29 October 2026 three such figures could be found: Evolution gives 96.08% for Crazy Time, and Pragmatic Play gives 97.50% for Mega Roulette 3000 and up to 99.51% for Privé Lounge Blackjack.

Any RTP converts into a house edge by subtracting it from 100%, so 96.08% means the game keeps 3.92% of stakes on average. If the term is new, the short definition of house edge in casino games sets out the idea with one roulette spin. This guide lists the published figures, shows the conversion, and explains why multipliers, fees and side bets give one table several different returns.

What does RTP measure at a live table?

RTP is a theoretical figure. It is worked out from the rules and the pay table, not from what happened at the table last night. It describes the average across millions of rounds, and any single session can land well above or below it.

At a classic live table the result comes from a physical wheel or real cards, so the return follows from the game's maths. Some live variants add a software layer on top. Evolution describes the Lightning Card multipliers in Lightning Baccarat and Lightning Blackjack as RNG-based, which means a random number generator picks them, not the dealer.

In Kenya, regulation 45(1) of the Gambling Control (Conduct of Gambling Operations) Regulations, 2026 requires game rules to be shown on the approved platform before any wager is placed. Regulation 45(2) requires random number generators in games of chance to be certified by the Authority or its approved agent, including a statistical test of the theoretical return to player. Regulation 45(4) requires the theoretical RTP percentage of each game to be disclosed to the Authority.

Which live games have a published RTP?

The table sets out what each provider page showed on the access date. A dash means the page gave no figure. The last column is plain subtraction from 100%.

Crazy Time's figure sits in the FAQ on its own page, next to two other details: the game launched in July 2020, and each spin carries a 1 in 6 chance of landing a bonus round. The bonus game's top multiplier is 20,000x. The guide to live casino game shows covers how the wheel segments pay.

Pragmatic Play calls the 97.50% of Mega Roulette 3000 higher than the traditional roulette experience. On every spin, up to eight random numbers carry a multiplier of 50x to 3,000x on straight-up bets. The page does not split the figure by bet type.

For Privé Lounge Blackjack the page ties the 99.51% to a rule called Split After Split, which lets a player split again after a first split. The words "up to" matter. A blackjack return depends on every hit, stand, split and double, so the top figure assumes the best decision each time.

No live baccarat page in the source list gave a percentage. The figure of 98.76% belongs to Pragmatic Play's software baccarat, a game with no dealer, and it is shown here only for comparison. Its page does not say which of the three bets the figure describes.

How does RTP turn into house edge?

The two numbers always add up to 100%. A game that returns 97.30% keeps 2.70%, and a game that keeps 5.26% returns 94.74%. Where a provider prints no RTP, the standard rules still give a derived figure for the main bets.

Standard live table bets: derived edge and RTP
BetHow the figure is reachedHouse edgeRTP
Any standard bet, single-zero roulette1 / 372.70%97.30%
Any standard bet, double-zero roulette2 / 385.26%94.74%
Blackjack natural, 3:2 tableKES 150 profit on KES 100Rule-dependent; no single figure
Blackjack natural, 6:5 tableKES 120 profit on KES 100KES 30 less per natural than 3:2
Baccarat Banker win1:1 less 5% commission (0.95:1 net)Not published on the pages checked

Illustrative example: the edge applies to every shilling staked, not to the money you deposit. Suppose a KES 500 balance is played through 20 spins of KES 100 on a single-zero wheel. That is KES 2,000 staked, and 2.70% of KES 2,000 is KES 54, the average amount the wheel keeps over such a run.

Illustrative example: KES 10,000 staked at 97.30% returns KES 9,730 on average and keeps KES 270. The same KES 10,000 at Crazy Time's 96.08% returns KES 9,608 and keeps KES 392. The difference of 1.22 points looks small, but it applies to every shilling staked.

The blackjack rows show why no single figure is given there. A 6:5 natural pays KES 30 less than a 3:2 natural on a KES 100 bet, and the full arithmetic sits in the guide to live blackjack payouts at 3:2 and 6:5.

Why do multiplier variants publish different figures?

A multiplier game moves money around the pay table. Evolution's Lightning Roulette pays a straight-up number 29:1 when it carries no multiplier, against 35:1 at a classic wheel. In return, one to five Lucky Numbers each round pay 50x to 500x.

The same page says every other bet, from splits to red or black, pays standard roulette odds. On the same single-zero wheel those bets keep the plain 2.70% edge. Only the straight-up bets have a different return, so one table carries two figures.

Some variants charge a fee on top of the stake. Evolution adds a 20% Lightning Fee to the total bet in Lightning Baccarat, takes a 20% Golden card fee in Golden Wealth Baccarat, and charges 20% on Player or Banker bets in Peek Baccarat. In Lightning Blackjack a 100% Lightning Fee is added to each initial bet, and a winning score is always awarded a multiplier of 2x to 25x for the next round.

Illustrative example: KES 100 on Banker in Lightning Baccarat costs KES 120 once the 20% fee is added. Any return figure for that bet has to be measured against the KES 120, not the KES 100. In Lightning Blackjack the same KES 100 hand costs KES 200.

Why do side bets have their own RTP?

A side bet is a separate wager with its own pay table and its own probability. Its return is worked out on its own, so a figure printed for the main game does not cover it. Side bets usually pay large multiples on rarer outcomes.

Evolution's baccarat page gives several examples. Player Pair and Banker Pair pay 11 to 1, Perfect Pairs and the other optional side bets offer up to 200 to 1, and the Super 6 bet in No Commission Baccarat pays 15:1 when the Banker wins with a 6. The page gives no RTP for any of them.

No Commission Baccarat also changes the main bet: Banker wins carry no 5% commission, but a Banker win with a total of 6 pays half the stake, 0.5:1. Illustrative example: a KES 100 Banker win therefore pays KES 95 at a standard table, and at this table KES 100 or, on a 6, KES 50. The guide to live baccarat rules and the 5% commission works through both versions.

What an RTP figure does not tell you

RTP does not predict the next round. Evolution's Crazy Time FAQ states that outcomes cannot be predicted, because each spin is a game of chance. A figure of 96.08% describes the game over a vast number of spins and is silent on any one evening.

A figure also says nothing about who checks the wheel, the cards or the stream. That question belongs to testing, licences and camera work, covered in the guide to whether live dealer games are fair. For the player, regulation 23(1) of the same 2026 Regulations requires a licensee to display the odds, rules and terms of each bet.

A published RTP is the provider's statement about its own game, not a figure set by Kenyan law. Regulation 45(3) adds that the Authority evaluates or certifies game rules on an annual basis.

Questions and answers

What RTP does live roulette have?

Standard bets on a single-zero wheel return 97.30%, because the zero gives the house 1/37, or 2.70%. A double-zero wheel returns 94.74%. Variants differ: Pragmatic Play publishes 97.50% for Mega Roulette 3000, while Evolution's Lightning Roulette pays non-multiplied straight-ups 29:1, so those bets have a different return from the rest of its table.

How do I turn an RTP figure into a house edge?

Subtract the RTP from 100%. Crazy Time's published 96.08% leaves a house edge of 3.92%, and Mega Roulette 3000's 97.50% leaves 2.50%. The edge is charged on every stake. Illustrative example: KES 2,000 staked across a session at a 2.50% edge means the game keeps KES 50 on average over a long run of such sessions.

Why does a live blackjack RTP say up to?

Blackjack returns depend on the player's decisions. Pragmatic Play's Privé Lounge Blackjack page gives up to 99.51% and links the figure to its Split After Split rule. The top figure assumes the best choice on every hand, so a player who hits or stands differently gets a lower return. Table rules such as a 6:5 natural payout also lower it.

Does a Lightning fee change the RTP of a bet?

Yes, because the fee is part of the cost of the bet. Evolution adds a 20% Lightning Fee to the total bet in Lightning Baccarat and a 100% fee to each initial bet in Lightning Blackjack. Illustrative example: a KES 100 Banker bet in Lightning Baccarat costs KES 120, and its return has to be measured against that KES 120.

Do Kenyan rules require operators to show RTP to players?

Regulation 45(4) of the Conduct of Gambling Operations Regulations, 2026 requires the theoretical RTP of each game to be disclosed to the Authority. For players, regulation 45(1) requires game rules to be shown before a wager, and regulation 23(1) requires the odds, rules and terms of each bet to be displayed. Regulation 45 does not itself say the percentage must be shown to players.
